Why not tell everyone a little bit about where you live. For those who would like to maintain their privacy, it doesn't have to be too specifi, just a little about your area so that others can get an idea of where you live. I'll start the ball rolling...
The Island of Jersey is a British Crown Dependency situated between the the coast of Normandy, France and the south coast of England. It is 9 miles by 5 miles (45 square miles) and its capital town is St Helier. Jersey has a population of approximately 92,000 made up of various ethnic groups consisting of 51.1% Jersey, 34.8% Britons, 6.4% Portuguese, 2.6% Irish, 1.7% French, 2.3% other white, 1.1% other.
The island is divided into twelve parishes named after Christian saints.
What is Jersey famous for??
Jersey Royal Potatoes (very early potato crop known for their flavour); the actress Lillie Langtry (known as the Jersey Lily); The Battle of Flowers; the TV detective series Bergerac; and Jersey cows which are known for their milk (you probably have some in a field near you!!)
